In the previous paper, stress distributions on base plates around fillet welds and load-elongation behaviours were analysed on models with side fillet welds of the materials such as mild steel and 80 kg/mm^2 high strength steels. This paper is a continuation to the above paper. In this paper the front fillet welded joint model is analysed statically by finite element method in elastic and plastic region. In analysis the joint model is assumed to be in two states, that is, in plane stress state and in plane strain state. The joint model is also put to experiment under simple tension and under alternated loading in plastic region. From comparison of the experimentally observed statical behaviour with the analytical results, some available results are drawn. Moreover, some data of low cycle fatigue tests are obtained.
