• Yamatocallis acericola sp. nov., a feeder on Acer carpinifolium in Japan, is described and figured, with a key to the Japanese species of the genus : Y. takagii (TAKAHASHI), Y. tokyoensis (TAKAHASHI) and Y. hirayamae MATSUMURA.
