The present paper deals with the observation on some developmental stages of the mole, employing as material nineteen embryos in five litters collected in the suburbs of Hiroshima city. 1) In four of five cases, each pregnant female had four embryos in litter, but one case had three embryos in litter. 2) Body measurements of mother animals and their embryos are given in Tables 1 and 2. 3) So far as the present materials are concerned, the characteristic features which mark the embryo as mole begin to appear at the stage of about 16 mm crown-rump length as illustrated in Figs. 1-5.
