Abnormal features of germ-cells were observed in experimental cryptorchid testes of mice, 10 to 90 days after operation. Histologically, remarkable degeneration of the spermatogenetic cells took place in the seminiferous tubules of cryptorchid testes, while interstitial cells showed a striking development, with an increase of cells stained with azur-B. Abnormal divisions observed were the coalescence or clumping of chromosomes, the formation of restitutional nuclei, chromosome bridges, irregular arrangements of metaphase chromosomes, and the abnormal movement of anaphase chromosomes in the spermatogonial and the first and second spermatocyte divisions. There were many spermatozoa which were abnormal in both structure and behavior.
