Tadpole shrimps, Triops longicaudatus (LECONTE), collected from Arizona were compared with those from some districts of Japan in the measurements and morphological features of several parts of the body. In Japanese Triops longicaudatus there are two races, bisexual and unisexual, which are morphologically different from each other. The specimens from Arizona are very similar to the Japanese unisexual race in the shape of posterior margin of the carapace, the number of the teeth at this posterior margin, the shape of the flabellum of the first appendage, the shape of the sixth endopodite of the eleventh appendage, and the number and the arrangement of the teeth on the dorsal surface of the telson. On the other hand, they are almost equal to the bisexual race and Sakata population of the unisexual race in the length of the carapace and in the number of segments devoid of appendages as well as that of those not covered with the carapace. As the specimens of Triops longicaudatus from Arizona resemble the unisexual race distributed in Japan in external characters, it is believed that they belong to an unisexual race, which is closely related to the Japanese unisexual.
