For chromosome preparations from Amphibian bone marrow cells Seto (1965) reported a simple method, modifying the technique of Tijo and Whang (1962). The present author fixed these cells by the vapor of a mixture (ethanol 1: glacial acetic acid 2: distilled water 3, ratio by volume), and made chromosome preparations without in vitro culture and centrifugation. It is clear that the autor's "vapor-fixation method" which was previouly used for the preparation of blood corpuscle chromosomes of the chick embryo (Omura, 1967) is applicable to the bone marrow cells of Amphibian and higher vertebrates. In this paper an arrangement of the method is shown, making use of Os femoris and Os tibiae of the frogs as material.
