This paper considers a simple piecewise linear network of chaotic cells. The cell includes a bipolar hysteresis whose thresholds vary periodically. Using the mapping procedure, we have clarified generation of various periodic attractors, chaos and related bifurcations. Then, we construct the network by using occasional linear connection. Theoretical analysis is possible for the OLC network and we have clarified that the network exhibits various synchronous states of periodic attractors, those of chaotic attractors, and interesting self-switching phenomena of synchronized chaos. Some of theoretical results can be verified in simple laboratory experiments.
