• A deterministic simulation method is proposed and investigated for rate 3/4 TC- 16PSK and TC-16QAM, and the BER performance of these schemes are evaluated in a band-limited nonlinear channel. Moreover, the difference in BER performance between two mapping methods, Gray code mapping and natural binary code mapping, is estimated. The results of this study show that TC-16PSK is duperior to TC-16QAM in BER performance over linear and nonlinear channels, and Gray code mapping is useful in TC-16PSK, but not in TC-16QAM.
