• Antenna elements in the form of printed strip dipoles are very convenient for low-cost base station of commercial communication systems. Antenna structures of series-fed printed strip dipoles can be fabricated as simple as a single element printed strip dipole, which have been found to have broadband characteristics. However, an analysis method which can accurately model the dielectric effect must be used to design these antennas. The employed analysis method showed that the presence of dielectric substrate can be used to move undesired line resonances outside the usable frequency range.
