5-GHz wireless access system, HiSWANa, is expected as a high performance system which can provide data rate of more than 20 Mbit/s. In Japan, only 4 channels are available on the 5-GHz hand. Therefore, time division resource sharing with inter-AP (Access Point) synchronization is very useful technology. This paper describes control algorithm and performances of the proposed inter-AP synchronization method. The evaluation results by computer simulation and experiments show that the proposed method works very well even in hidden-AP environment. Furthermore, it is confirmed that each transmission timing error of BCHs is within 12μsec even in the severe condition where the average signal power of receiving from other APsis -72dBm.
