This paper introduces simulation results of an adaptive MC-CDMA technique for broadband mobile satellite communications. Our previous study introduced the adaptive MC-CDMA for counter-measuring rain attenuation and fading in broadband mobile communication systems, including various novel algorithms to solve problems in a conventional MC-CDMA scheme. Our preliminary simulation results in the previous study showed that the adaptive scheme with the synchronous system achieves 100 % enhancement in capacity. Recently, we implemented S/W simulation tool incorporating our own developed adaptive algorithm to estimate the performance of satellite MC-CDMA scheme with various system parameters. In addition, in order to investigate the feasibility of H/W implementation of the developed algorithm, we implemented it in a FPGA level by targeting Xilinx xc2v6000ff1517-4. In this paper, we demonstrate the performance simulation results from the developed S/W tool using Ka band mobile satellite communication channel model with rain attenuation. We also show the emulation results of the adaptive MC-CDMA FPGA.
