SITC, stands for Satellite Integration and Test Center, at KARI(Korea Aerospace Research Institute) was founded in 1996. It has been the first comprehensive and unique test facility to support a series of Korean space program, such as KOMPSAT(Korea Multi-Purpose SATellite), KITSAT(KIT SATellite), KSR(Korea Sounding Rocket) and Koreanized space components. Most of facilities and technologies have been mainly focused on the small sized or earth observation satellites, and performed. successfully their missions until now. However, KARI faces the most challenging and new task due to the demand for the development of GEO satellite, such as communication and broadcasting or weather observation satellites. This new mission requires the establishment of new testing facilities and technologies as well. This paper presents a brief introduction to the KARI's situation for the testing facilities and technologies with respect to the GEO satellites.
