An improved system of HRB(high-resolution Bragg reflection)method was constructed and used for velocity and absorption measurements in toluene up to 2. 1GHz. The results show a strong velocity dispersion around 8GHz, which is interpretted in terms of vibration-to-translation relaxation process of toluene molecules.
