Element partitioning between minerals and silicate melt has been investigated at pressures 1-17 GPa, by using 6-8 type multi anvil high pressure apparatus. The observed partition coefficients, D, were plotted on partition coefficient-ionic radius (PC-IR) diagram. In the case of olivine/silicate melt system, Partition coefficient of most of the elements gradually decreased with increasing pressure. However, D_<AI> increased with increase in pressure, and this result may be suggesting that D_<AI> may depend on the composition of coexisting silicate melt. The D-profile appeared in PC-IR diagram of magnesiowustite and anhydrous phase-B shows a peak at around 60-70 pm. Although small differences were found among the D-profile of majorite, Fe-rich garnet and Ca-rich garnet, their D-profies resemble each other, and the fundamental characteristic of D-profile must be the same among these garnets. Partition coefficients of large sized ions, such as Ca and La, were large in merwinite and Ca-perovskite. A peak of D-profile was expected at around 90-100 pm in these minerals, and large sized ions must be incorporated in these minerals.
