We've made a statistical observation on 985 male workers of coal mines (consisted of 18 to 55-year-old) classified into the in-pit and the out-pit worker, in order to check whether there is any connection between condition of their first molar and there working circumstances. As the result of this survey, we've reached the following conclusion : 1) The in-pit workers have the advantage over the out-pit workers in every respect of height, weight, the girth of the chest, and the Vervack's Index. 2) On one side as to the rate of the first molar being decayed, that of the in-pit workers is higher a bit than that of the out-pit workers. And on the other side, in regard to the M rate, F rate, and D. M. F. rate, that of the out-pit workers is higher than that of the in-pit workers. 3) Those who are superior in height, weight, and the girth of the chest have more healthy first molar than those who are inferior in height, weight, and girth of the chest
