Early detection and observation of the development of the cancer originating from the oral mucosa are easy. However, it is difficult to detect and observe those originating in the maxillary sinus for the reason of the complicated structure. The surgical treatment leads to esthetic impediments and disturbance of function in the case of the oral cancer. Therefore, the chemotherapy has been going evaluation. The study on distribution and structure of blood vessels has been increasing in importance to ascertain the distribution of anti-cancer drugs and invation of tumor. In the present investigation, distribution of the blood vessels of Vx2 carcinoma transplanted in maxillary sinus of domestic rabbits was observed macroscopically and histopathologically through the growth of the tumor, by means of Technovit Acrylic Resin and Barii Sulfas, sulphated barium injection. Main results obtained were as follows. 1. On the 7th day after transplantation, each vessels showed macroscopically no variation. The tumor cells developed amorphous masses and infiltrated into the submucosal tissue with no distinct demarcation line, and many blood channels invaded the tumor forming a network. 2. On the 14th day after transplantation, A. sphenopalatina showed a slight dilatation and displacement. The tumor cells came into nests and almost filled up the maxillary sinus, and the vessels with stroma were observed in the tumor. 3. On the 21st and 28th days after transplantation, the tumor cells invaded the maxillary bone and caused the jugal soft tissue to become globular. A. sphenopalatina, the branch on the base of maxillary sinus, the branch of canalis nasolacrimalis, A. infraorbitalis and A. facialis remarkably varied and encircled the tumor mass.
