This paper presents some results of fuzzy control for a waste water neutralizing plant. The fuzzy control system mainly consists of two blocks. One is a fuzzy predictor block. The other is a fuzzy temporary target generator block. The former realizes a successive identification of a nonlinear function between neutralizer flow rate and pH characteristic. The latter generates a referential target of PH for realizing a stable response. As results of comparing fuzzy control with PID control, it is found that fuzzy control achieves not only good responses but also reduction of neutralizer flow cost.
