Theoretical studies were made on the overall kinetic pattern of several multienzyme models with special reference to their steady chracteristics. Even if each component enzyme is assumed to follow the Michaelis pattern, the systems as a whole are supposed in some cases to represent various patterns of non-Michaelis type at steady state. The systems dealt with in the present paper are composed of : (1) an enzyme reaction coupled with transport ; (2) Michaelis reactions combined in series ; (3) Michaelis reactions combined in series with a positive feedback loop. The discussions given here will make a basis for the analysis of microbial kinetics in fermentation processes.
