Purpose : To find the mechanic of snow avalanche, and the effect of wood for it, with that to measuring the amount of movement of snow on the rapid slope, sectioning to some parts of locatities.Experimental methods : Making a hole with thrusting a surveying pole through the snow layer, and next put some chaff of rice into the hole. And some days ago, cutting a profile section through the hole, we can measure the amount of movement of snow from the rest mark of a pole on the earth during that term.Sectioning of locality of slope area is next. A part-pure bare land, B-broad-leaved forest, C-coniferous forest, D-on the step-works, E-approach slope of the step-works, F-middle surface of the step-works…bare land, G-same …open planted forest, H-same…good planted forest.Discussion of results : Presenting table is the amount of movement of snow on the every parts of localities. And from it, we may find that the wood will affect to movement of snow on the slope with moderately well. And that effect is more well than coniferous forest to broad-leaved forest, and than open planted forest to good planted forest.Next the movement of snow on the pure bare land almost equal to bare land of middle surface of the step-works. This fact will indicate that the step-works can not stop the movement of snow layer, but only suporting the snow layer sectioning to some parts.
