1) It is supposed that the osmotic druck of Todo Fir being 5-7.5 Atm. Press. during the vegetation period, the osmotic druck at the maximum height growth is 5-6 Atm press. The osmotic druck of Ezo spruce during the vegetation period being 4.5-8 Atm Press, the osmotic druck at the maximum height growth is 4.5-6.8 Atm Press. In the case of Akaezo spruce, the osmotic druck being 2.7-6.8 Atm Press the maximum height growth is 3-6.5 Atm. press. If the hydrate of Todo Fir at the growth period is compared with that of Ezo spruce in accordance with the figures shown above, the former is a little heigher than the latter. However the hydrate limit at the maximum height growth is almost same, and it is generally supposed that the hydrate limit of Ezo spruce being lower than Todo Fir, the hydrate limit of Ezo spruce is the broadest of all these three kinds. 2) The daily variation of osmotic druck generally comes to drop as the height growth begins and the hybrate at the maximum height growth reaches the minimum point. The osmotic druck has such a tendency as to rise up as the growth comes near to an end. 3) The minimum hydrate corresponds almost with that of the maximum height growth, therefore, the physiological activity upon the height growth is supposed to be the maximum at the maximum height growth. 4) The curbing of height growth is supposed to form the symmetry with that of the osmotic druck. This phenomenon shows the negative correlation between the height growth and osmotic druck, therefore, it can be reduced that there exists a negative correlation betwee nthe water absorption or the metabolical activity, and the height growth.
