It is said that the partial trimming of branches, e.i. some branches and leaves being left untouched, is more effective for seasoning of felled trees than the ordinary clear trimming of all branches. And this method of seasoning is called the "Hagarashi", on which the author has been studied. In this article the results obtained by some comparative experiments are reported. The tendencies of decreasing water-contents in "Hinoki"trees specially felled for the experiments were clarified, and it is concluded that, (1) To left some untrimmed branches and leaves is effective for the seasoning purpose, (2) Barking is more effective, (3) Combined procedure of (1) and (2) is most effective.
