Mesoscopic magnetic metals are quite unique systems in which both magnetic and electronic properties can show novel quantum behaviors such as quantum tunneling of the magnetization and domain walls on the magnetic side, and weak localization due to quantum interference on the electronic side. Of particular interest are the effects arising from mutual coupling, including the effect of the domain wall on the resistivity. It turns out that a domain wall can lead to a substantial change in the resistivity in a weakly focalized regime, and that the comtribution is negative. In such a situation, quantum noise is expected at low temperatures, owing to the dynamics of the wall. Such novel quantum effects in mesoscopic magnetic metals have potential applications in future devices using high-sensitivity magneto-electric coupling.
