When we solve partial differential equations numerically, we choose points inside the given physical region and get equations governing the variables on the discrete points. It is desirable to generate regular mesh points in any shaped regions. To attain this goal, we propose a method of generating automatically the regular grid points inside a polygon. This is achieved by conformal mapping of a square onto the polygon. We have actually confirmed that all grid points are generated inside the physical region. They are also orthogonal. The calculation time is reasonable. However, the density of mesh points ranges very widely. We pro-pose a method to improve this property using three degrees of freedom.
