In 1998, it corresponded to change of the environment which surrounds beef industries, such as influence of the management organization by IMF, fear of BSE, in order to raise beef industry as a strategic industry of the 21st century, the existing measure was complemented, and the measure against South Korean cow industrial modernization etc. has been established and promoted. However, the present condition is that the weak portion of the competitive power of beef industry-production organization which meets the insecurity of the breeding base of a South Korean cow breeding member decreasing gradually and the demand of the circulation subject which cannot attain differentiation with South Korean beef and import beef, but is enlarged and standardized is not. Then, in this paper, the South Korean actual condition and present condition of beef industry have been grasped from production to circulation, consumption stage, and it aimed at proposing the consumption expansion policy of future in South Korean beef.
