The influence of MSP treatment on Wear fatigue Property of Aluminum Reinforced SiC Particulate was investigated. The main result are as follow. (1) The Fatigue strength of MSP treated specimen was improve as compared with untreated specimen, and the fatigue limit (10^7 fatigue strength) of MSP treated specimen was improve by 15%. (2) The detailed observation have revealed that fatigue crack growth in a MSP treatment specimen showed a tensile mode by MSP treatment. (3) The slip deformation of MSP treated specimen was restricted by presence of compressive residual stress by ceramics diffusion layer and hardig layer, so that shear type fatigue crack initiation is held, and the compressive residual stress makes the tensile type crack effectively closure, Therefore, the fatigue limit was improve.
