In the present study self-vibrated thermal convection field in enclosures with horizontal temperature difference and their unsteady and chaotic characteristics were numerically examined. The Prandtl number was held constant of 295 and the Rayleigh number was changed between 10^4 and 10^7. The aspect ratio of the enclosure was changed from 5 to 10. The effects of viscosity change with temperature were also examined. As aresult, it was revealed that the spatial region where the significant temperature fluctuation is detected corresponds to the spatial region where the secondary cells exist. And the largest Lyapunov exponents calculated from the temperature on the center line have the local maximum at lower region of the enclosure when the viscosity change was considered. These characteristics agree well with the experimental ones. Moreover when the dynamic viscosity is held constant the unsteady characteristics are ascertained to be nearly centrosymmetry.
