Life Cycle Assessment(LCA) has been studied as an useful method to evaluate the impact of various products against the environment in their life-cycle. Using LCA, we evaluated the environmental impact of the new ventilator with inverter control unit and conventional one without inverter control unit. As the result, at the manufacturing stage the release of C0_2 from the new ventilator surpasses by 13% in comparison with that of conventional one, but at the running stage, due to the energy saving effect of inverter control unit, LCC0_2 of the new ventilator would be approximately 13% less than that of conventional one. Recycle-ability of the new ventilator could be improved with reducing the time of disassembling them by 10% compared with that of conventional one.
