This paper describes a study of the reason for a noise occurred on rotary valve driven with steady revolution of hydraulic motor that is based on jerking motion. It is confirmed with the acoustic and characteristic analysis that the condition of this motion for stick slip is satisfied in accordance with the combination of three elements as follows: (i) torsional elastic deformation of oldhams coupling, (ii) polar moment of inertia for rotary valve, (iii) friction between valve casing and valve ring. And also it is confirmed with the result of investigation for the motion of the oldhams coupling that the torsional spring force is not negative constantly from the start, its contact surface is one side only and its motion is not influenced with the backlash under a condition of F(λ,ζ,A)≧O.
