• This paper describes all the details of Japanese traffic accident through automobile insurance data analysis from 1993 to 1999, which belong to The Chiyoda Fire & Marine Insurance Co. Ltd., comparing the change of traffic accident numbers with traffic statistics. As a result, the following became clear. ・ The effect of the traffic safety measure is appearing. ・ In recent years, the traffic accidents, which are slight, are handled as the accidents resulting in injury. ・ As a result, on the traffic statistics, the accidents resulting in injury look as if increasing in number.
