In this paper, two issues about the interior noise active control are discussed with the enclosure. One issue is the modeling technique. Modal coupling method is used to establish the governing motion equations of the fully coupled acoustics-structure-piezoelectric patch system. This method can be applied to the vibro-acoustical system with any shaped enclosure by the modal parameters which appear in the frequency range of interest. The second issue is the about active control mechanism. Control strategy is related to the optimal control of sound pressure level (SPL). The optimal control effect is greatly dependent on the number of piezo actuators and their locations. Optimization of the locations of piezo actuators with response surface methodology based on holographic neural network is proposed to search the global solution.
