The stress in the rotating disc, that is widely in practical use especially in the steam turbine disc wheel, had hitherto been calculated for a few particular sections. Prof.T.Suhara derived the solution of the displacement equation for any thin rotating disc of various sections, in the form of hypergeometric series. The writer accomplished the numerical calculation of stress for such discs, and investigated the relation between the stress and the form of the section. For a practical example the result of the stress calculation for the film drum of Prof.Suhara's super high-speed kinetocamera is shown.
