The Chick Embryo Reaction (C. E. R. or Bauman-Witebsky Phenomenon) was investigated in compared with Forssman reaction, but there was no definite parallel relation between Forssman titer and C. E. R. tested with the sera of the patients suffering from the various diseases. The results of the Experiments related to the antigen-antibody reaction show that it may have some close relationship to the antigen-antibody reaction on the points of the slight degree of the thermostability and the lack of clear-cut difference of the reaction between the normal and the sensitized rabbit serum. On the other hand, when the anti-albumin rabbit serum was absorbed with egg albmin solution, there exists a parallel relation between the C. E. R. and the titer of the antibody remained. The results suggest that the phenomenon may depends upon antigen-antibody reaction. These results suggest that the factor related to C. E. R. may be absorbed by the precipitate produced through antigen antibody combination.
