A numerical calculation and an experiment of a wall attachment device have been performed. In this calculation method, the flow field was divided according to local Reynolds number into turbulent, transient and laminar regions, and the calculation method suitable to each region was applied. Then, the k-ε turbulent flow model was used for turbulent calculation. The experiments were the velocity measurement using a 3-port pitot tube and the flow visualization by the tuft method. The calculation and experiment were carried out under the condition that ratio of control flow rate to supply flow rate was 0 or 20%. The calculated results agreed well with the experimental results, and the effects of control flow on the flow pattern and the characteristics of the turbulent Flow field in a wall attachment device were able to be clarified.
