The most remarkable characteristic in two-phase flow is the pulsating phenomenon of flow that liquid piston and gas piston flow alternately. In this study, the pulsation has been measured as the fluctuation of void ratio with an electrode probe which indicates the existence of liquid or gas-phase at the tip of probe. The experiment has been carried out for air-water two-phase upward flow in 27.6mm ID glass tube. The periods of the fluctuation of void ratio have normal distribution and the mean values are expressed with a experimental formula.[numerical formula] Where, w_<d0> : superficial velocity of air (m/s), w_<w0> : superficial velocity of water (m/s). The standard deviations are about 30 % of the mean values. The radial distribution of " the gas-phase existence time ratio" in the tube has been measured by shifting the probe.
