In order to mathematically comrpute the frequency of the turbine disc wheels, it should be taken into consideration how the blades and rims for fixing blades at the outer circumference of the discs have influenced on this matter, through which we shall be able to approximately get to the frequency. However, it is impossible to solve only according to the strictly theoretical procedures. From such viewpoint as described in the present report, we would solve the frequency of the disc wheels by energy methods. Firstly we have developed the frequency equations for the discs, and secondly tried to deduce the computation formulas for the frequency as the disc wheels considering the energy by vibration of both the rims and blades. The discs on the above equations are pertinent to these rectilineally variable to the thickness for radial direction at the wheel disc types popularly adopted. Where a number of the existing turbine wheels with and without blades have been served available to or survey, they were all verified to be in practical conformity with the calculated and measured values.
