The electron transport throtugh the tttnneling potential in tnagnetic fields is sttmdied. Systernsthat we consider are a two-teruaainal qtuanturn wire with a jcotential and a four-terrninal crossjtrnction. The increase of the n?agnetic field strppr'esses the trzrnsrnission of electrons and tlaeconductance decreases rapidly with the magnetic field, The electron is totally reflected at certainvaltres of' the naagnetic field and we find that this jchenonaenon is attribtrted to the inter'ference ofsubbands with conaplex waventrmbers in the tunnelirng region. In the four-terminal configurartion, the calculated Hall resistance slaows oscillation-like behavior and changes its sign repeatedly. Thesuppression of' the transtaaission to the forward lead is again f'ound in this configur?rtion. Thedistribtrtion of probability density and current derrsity ita the tttnneling barriers is also exanained.
