A three-level ladder atorta driven by txvo coher'ent laser fields xvith rather different f'reqtrencies invariotus kinds of reservoirs is considered. IN/Taking use of tlae uaaaster eqtrattion and Bloch eqtration, xve calctrlate nunaerically and show graxplaically the steady-state populations verstrs two-plaotondettrning. We also disctrss and counparre the two-photon and one-photon processes occtrrring f'orvarious cases. For a sqtreezed V21CLlLllTl, only xvhen the carrier freqtrency of the sqtteezed VdCLlU1Il1eqtrals the average of freqtreracies of the txvo driving fields and the phase raaatching condition isf'trlfilled, will there be a strong tw'o-photon r'eson?tnt alcsorption f'rom the sqtreezed V8CLlL1I11, acharacteristic different froraa absorption of' photons ['rotaa a classical field; Otlaerxvise, tlae txvo-photon aTc-sorption rate ['rotn the sqtteezed V2lCLlUll11 xvill be greaxtly dirninished.
