We present a Htrb bard model with a special hopping matrix, which has highly degenerate single-electron energy eigenstates but has different properties than the flat-band Hubbard model. Ourmodel has a paramagnetic ground state when the electron filling factor is less than or equal toquarter-filling. In the case of qtrarter-filling xvitla one extra electron, the present model exhibitssaturated ferromagnetism in the grotrnd states for a sufficiently large valtre of on-site Coulounbinteraction btrt does not ['or a small one.
