An extended Tltzbbard tnodel on a txvo-leg ladder is ntutnerically sttudied by naeans of theqtranturn lVIonte Carlo techniqttes. The uaaodel xve sttrdy has the nearest-neighbor interactionswhich are reptrlsive along chains and attractive for rtrngs. The plots of the doping parazaueterverstrs the chemical potential show two cliff'-like regions and a large p[ateatr region. Restrltson the charge susceptibility stmggest it diverges in these cliff-like regions. These observationsnaight ixmply a sigtaal to the phase separation, xvhich shotrld be related to the elective attractiveinteractions ?xlong chains.
