Pair Dynamical Correlated-Effective-Field Approximation

The dynamical correlated-effective-field approximation (DCEFA) developed by Suzvxki is ex-tended to the pair-approximation, in which the spin-pair is solved exactly and the interactionbetween the pairs is treated by the DCBFA. The approxim?ttion is applied to calculate magneticexcitation and uniform static strsceptibility of S :: 172 exchange-alternating chains. The ob-tained results agree reasonably well with those olctained by the exact diagonalization method forfinite spins. The approximation is applied also to real pseudo-one-dimensional antiferromagnetic-ferrornagnetic alternating systems such as Cu(TIIVI)CuClj, (4-BzpipdH)CuCl3 and lVIeNN, andthe exchange couplings including interchain coupling in these systerrts are evaluated.
