We discuss spin polarization of the electrons scattered on the stjrface of' a magnetic substanceon the basis of the s-d harniltonian, provided that incident electrons have exchange interactions(s-d interaction) with the spin existing on the stnrf'ttce of rnaterial. From the analysis about thespin polarization of scattered electron in paratnagzaetic rnaterials, it is fotrnd that, though thedifference in the ntrmber of electrons with 'j? or 4, spin increases with external field, there seemsto be little difference even when a large external field is applied. In ferrornagnetic materials,scattering polarization asymrnetry is fovxnd to be proportional to the rnagnetization in stzfTicient1yclose region to T.. In superparanaagnetic rnaterials, the difference in the nuxaaber of electronswith 'j' or ,J, spin shows field dependence strongly owing to spin alignnaent in a cluster.
