Infrared Optical Conductivity in Superconducting State with Mixed Symmetry Gap Function

We have investigated the effects of the symmetry of supercondtrcting gap function on the in-plane infrared optical condtmctivity of High-'Z". strperconductors by introdtrcing the mixed symme-try gap function that interpolates between extended-,s wave and V-xvave syunmetry. For explicitcalcttlations we adopted the extended t-J model and slave Boson rnean field approximation. Wefound that as the symmetry is varied frorn extended-.s-xvave to d-wave, a characteristic peakstructtrre in the spectruna of optical condtrctivity is suppressed and that there exists a qualita-tive difference between the extended-.s- and V-wave syrtanaetry as regards of the magnitude ofdamping. XVe also found that the actual sh?rpe of the Ferrmi sttrface has little effect on the opticalconductivity spectrurn.
