An experimental study on pacemakers of target patterns in the oscillatoryBelousov-Zhabotinsky reaction is carried out. It is found that wavelength 2 of the pat-fern is controllable by changing the radius r of the pacemaker and that the obtainedrelationship between A and r can be qualitatively explained by a simple equationbased on a perturbational approach to the system.[Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction, target pattern, pacemaker, reaction-diffusion l] system, experimental studyl
