The vorticity distribution of the two-dimensional shear flow over a small threedimensional obstacle on a wall is investigated analytically for an inviscid incompressi-ble fluid. The field quantities are expanded into powc+r series of a small parameter, thenon-dimensional height of the obstacle, and the approximation is considered up tothe second order. In the first approximation, the vo?'ticity distribution is obtained toshow the existence of the vortex lines bounded in the obstacle. In the second approximation, the vorticity component along the main flow is calc;ulated for far downstream, and the distortion of the vortex lines in the main flow is considered.
