The relation between the pair breaking parameter (>and the inelastic scattering rateI / 'in has been studied for Al(sheet resistance 7?.< 100 Q), Sn(< 70 Q) and Pb(< 3 O)films. The ,>?. agrees well with c>' independent of unaterials and dirtiness: The dfi. isdetermined by the analysis of the excess conductanc:e with adding the correction termto the Maki-Thompson term and J" is obtained from the relation J=nh/Sk.Tr,.,where the 'in is determined by the analysis of the magnetoconductance. The 7S.dependence of 'Kc.e-e for Al and also Sn films, wltere the eleetron-phonon inelasticscattering contribution is subtracted experimentally, is in quantitative agreement withtheories independent of materials. This implies that the m;tterial dependence ofcoefficients J. and a in the experimental expressiort (>= c>.-f aR. is caused by e-p inelastic scattering depending on materials and dirtiness of films.
