K.HP0. saturated aqueous solution has been found to undergo a glassy statewithout any crystallization at T. -200K. Below 7'. the specimen become solid-likeglass which is transparent in visual light. High frequency Raman spectra ( >300 cm )of glassy state have shown the same spectral feature as those of solution. This indicates that the molecular structure is almost same both in solution and in glassystate. On the other hand low frequency Raman spectra below ?300 cm ' have changedwith decreasing temperature. Through a least square analysis by using a 3 damped har-monic oscillators model, the spectral change from solution into glassy state has beenwell explained. With decreasing temperature from 288 K to 200 K the Brillouin shiftfrequency increases continuou.sly, which corresponds to the gradual hardening of theelastic property.glass, electrolyte solution, Brillouin, Raman, K.HP0.
