Temperature dependence of three infrared active modes of vibrations weremeasured for KNiF, powdered specimen. A characteristic temperature dependencewas observed for the highest mode, which is about 450 cm ', ctt room temperature.This mode is due to a bending motion of F-Ni-F bond, which is expected to modulatesuperexchange interaction between nearest neighboring Ni ions.
