The dispersion relation of a streaming hollow cylinder with respect to its inertia,capillarity and electromagnetic forces is derived. Numerous st;tbility criteria are ob-tained as limiting cases from the present relation. The capill;try hollow cylinder isunstable only for certain wavelengths to axisymmetric mode a.nd stable to all otherdisturbances. The magnetic field exerts a strong stabilizing influence which causes thebending of the magnetic force lines. Above a certain relative value of the actungequilibrium field, the capillary instability of non-streaming motion is completely sup-pressed and the stability sets in. The required restrictions of the hydromagnetic stabulity of the streaming hollow cylinder, for different wavelengths and various distur-bances, are identified. The streaming motion has a destabilizing influence on themagnetohydrodynamic stability states and reduces them extensively. These analyticalresults are confirmed and presented numerically.
