The K-P and Modified K-P equations for ion acoustic wavc+ are derived from thefluid equations for plasma with negative ton. At the critical density of the negative tonwhere the nonlinearity of the K-P equation vanishes, the ion acoustic soliton is de-scribed by the Modified K-P equation. The stability of Modified K-dV soliton againstbending are investigated by using the Modified K-P equation. It is found that thesoliton is stable, independent of the sign of amplitude.
