Experiments are described in which the correlation tizne and fluctuation level ofion waves are nveasured under the condition of turbulent heating using tvvincapacitive probes. When the resistivity becouaaes anoxt=taIous, tlae correlation timebecouaaes shorter, typically several periods of ton waves, and the extergy density ofthe waves is of the order of 0.2']0 " n.T.. The ion [xeating rate and correlationtimes of ion waves (electrostatic ion cyclotron waves) are well explained by thequasiliztear theories dealing with the stochastic ntc:chanisttv. The anomalousresistivity is also found to result in the rapid electron .heating.
